ADULT MINISTRY

Inside Out is the name of our 6-week adult study group. We are currently studying Bruce Sanguin's book, "Darwin, Divinity, and the Dance of the Cosmos." We meet on Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to about 8:00 p.m. in the Youth Room. If you are reading the book on your own, you can enter the conversation on our study group blog.

 

Bible Study following the lectionary readings happens every Wednesday at lunchtime. Bring your lunch and your Bible and enjoy some spirited conversation around the weekly scripture readings. This group is led by our minister, Rev. James Ravenscroft. 

 

Marriage Preparation Course is offered twice a year, once in November and once in March or April. We use the United Church resource, "Passion and Freedom." The next course available is Friday, April 16, 7-9 p.m./Saturday, April 17 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 

LYFE Ministry - Live Your Faith Experience - Small Group Ministry

Book Club is part of our small group ministry and meets on the first Tuesday evening of each month. This is an opportunity for those who enjoy reading novels to gather for informal discussions about the books we read.

 

Gift of Art meets monthly Sunday evenings under the leadership of local artist Carol Brown. 

 

Labyrinth Ministry under the guidance of Elaine Nagy offers monthly labyrinth walks for our community. We have an indoor portable labyrinth and a newly constructed outdoor grass labyrinth for the summer months.

 

Prayer Shawl Ministry meets the first Thursday of each month at 1:30 p.m. in the Lounge to knit and learn together. This group offers prayer shawls to members of our church community in response to pastoral care needs.

 

In Stitches meets every other Tuesday evening to work on needlework projects and to share in conversation.

 

Yoga For Meditation and Stress Relief meets Mondays and Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m. with fitness instructor Lona Montgomery of Manitou Fitness.

 

Environment Group is new this year. They have started a recycle project at the church. Contact the office for more information.
