Rain of Forgiveness: Message for 12th Sunday after Pentecost 2011

It can be a challenge as well as a comfort to be part of a faith community. Knowing that there would be times when hurts and disagreements would happen between people, Jesus offered a process that would keep healing and forgiveness at the centre of our relationships, suggesting we begin by talking to the person one on one. We need this approach now more than ever given our tendency to bring grievances and hurts into the forum of public judgement, especially scapegoating whole communities of people for the sins of a few.
