The Trouble with Baptism: Message for Baptism of Jesus Sunday 2011

As we remember Jesus' baptism by John, we are often faced with troublesome aspects of the story. We can sidestep those by focusing on the God-expereince Jesus had and how it shaped him, rather than on his choice to be baptized. We are called to beshaped by our own baptism too.
